Tori Amos "The Beekeeper"

"Sleeps With Butterflies" é o tema que ressalta à primeira audição, mas as faixas "Parasol", "The Power of Orange Knickers" (com Damien Rice), "Jamaica Inn", "Barons of Suburbia", "Mother Revolution", "Cars and Guitars", "Original Sinsuality", "The Beekeeper" e "Goodbye Pisces" não ficam muito atrás.

"The Beekeeper really explores the story from the creative mother’s perspective because we know from the Bible the creative Father’s perspective. In this garden, we do not call this the Garden of Original Sin, we call this the Garden of Original Sinsuality. You will see when you open up the album The Beekeeper, which songs live in which gardens. You can take a journey with them. They are their own Garden of Eden. They’re their own shape. It’s a sonic shape, so it’s not a physical space. This is a place where male or female may enter. It’s not just emotions of a woman. We all experience disappointment and we all experience transformation and we all experience passion. Even if it’s not passion for another human being, but passion is an essence in itself.

"Ribbons Undone"

She's a girl
Rising from a shell
Running to spring
It is her time it is her time
Watch her run with ribbons undone

She's a rose in a lily's cloak
She can hide her charms
It is her right there will be time
To chase the sun with ribbons undone

She runs like a fire does
Just picking up daises
Comes in for a landing
A pure flash of lightening
Past alice blue blossoms
You follow her laughter
And then she'll surprise you
Arms filled with lavender

Yes my little pony is growing up fast
She corrects me and says
"You mean a thoroughbred"
A look in her eyes says the battle's beginning
From school she comes home and cries
I don't want to grow up Mom at last not tonight

You're a girl
Rising from a shell
Running through spring
With summer's hand in reach now
It is your time
It is your time
So just run with ribbons undone
It is your time yes my angel
It is your time
So just run with ribbons undone

Run run darlin'
Ribbons undone
